Notes from Tammie:

-Members be sure to check your mail! We are using email increasingly to get out notices of events to everyone.

-Everyone had a wonderful time at the impromptu Easter Egg Hunt/ Play practice - Thanks to Anita for her hospitality and for opening her pool to the group..

-A few weeks ago we all enjoyed a visit to the bowling alley to see how things work and I think parents and kids had a super time bowling..

--The Fort Discovery field trip was just Fantastic...thanks to everyone for doing such a lovely job putting that together. My parents attended with us and were super impressed with our organization.

--Keep watching we'll be announcing soon a pre-planning session to help pre-plan the calendar for next school year.

All members are encouraged to notify the various coordinators and express your interests ie: how you'd like to contribute.   This way you are working in areas that interest you.

Georgia Traveler Program

If you are a student in kindergarten through 8th grade, you can be a Georgia Traveler. (You do not have to be a resident of Georgia to
participate.)  Take the official Georgia Traveler Travel Log with you when you visit participating museums and historic sites
between March, 2002 and December 31, 2002.  Have your Log stamped and signed in the spaces provided to verify each visit. 
When you've collected stamps from six or more places, mail the Travel Log to

Georgia Association of Museums and Galleries
Georgia Traveler Program
80 Pine Lake Dr.
Newnam, GA 30263

Here is what you will get:
A Georgia Traveler pin ($2 handling fee must be included)
A certificate from Georgia Governor Roy Barnes

Your Log will be returned to you so you'll have a record of your adventures for your scrapbook.

The Travel Log can be picked up from the museums and historic sites or downloaded from the website.
